Icelandic Restaurant West

Would you like to dine at some of the Icelandic restaurant West? Some of my guests at my guesthouse plan a daytrip to the Snaefellsnes peninsula. If you haven’t thought of that it might be a good idea and stop at one of the nice restaurants there. Isafjordur is way too far for a daytrip, you would have to spend some nights to visit Isafjordur and its surrounding area.

Fimm Fiskar
Is located in Stykkisholmur a very nice old town in northern Snaefellsnes peninsula. This very nice restaurant and pizzeria has always fresh fish on the menu, the name on the restaurant in English is five fishes. They are situated at Fruarstigur 1, Stykkisholmi, Tel: 438-1290.

Kaffihúsið á Hellnum
Is one of its kinds. It is a coffee house located on a rocky beach in an old former boat house. They are only open at summer from 10:00-22:00. They serve fish soup, pasta and pies for lunch or dinner but cakes and waffles with cream with coffee. I defiantly recommend this nice coffeehouse. They are located at Hellnum Snaefellsnes peninsula, Tel: 435 6844.

Við Pollinn
Vid Pollinn is a Hotel restaurant in Isafjordur. There pride is in a great menu both with fish and meat. They are located at Silfurtorgi 2, Isafirdi, Tel: 456 3360. Opening hours are from 7:00-23:00 every day. Price range is ($$$).
