Restaurants in Kopavogur are few, most of them are located in Smaralind the big shopping mall or near by it. If you are located down town Reykjavik you can either take a taxi or bus. Bus no: 2 stop right outside Smaralind.

Maður Lifandi
Madur lifandi is both a stores, vegetarian restaurant and a educational centers. They are situated in Borgartun 26, Hæðasmara 6, Kopavogur and Hafnarborg Strandgötu, Hafnarfirði (only a estaurant). They are not strictly vegetarians since they sometimes have fish or light meat as their main course. They are open from 10:00-20:00 all working days and Saturday from 10:00-17:00. The Hafnarfirdi location is only a restaurant and is open from 11:00-19:00, but Weekends 12:00-17:00. Tel: 585-8700 and their price ranges is ($).

Subway came first to Iceland 1994. They now have 19 restaurants in Iceland with all the goodies that you know from your favorite Subway restaurant from home. You can eat Subway at any time of the day or night because some of the restaurants are open 24/7, but most of the restaurants are open from 10-22 working days and 11-22 at weekends. T.G.I. Friday's
Friday’s is located in Smaralind one of the big shopping mall in Iceland. As you probably know it is part of a big American restaurants chain and has all the goodies they have to offer. If you know Fridays and want to be on the save sate of eating you can definitely go to Fridays and be satisfied. Their price range is ($-$$$).

Turninn
Is one of my favorite places. I have only been there to Brunch and they have spectacular brunch buffet. This restaurant in Kopavogur is located in one of Icelandic tallest building on the top floor so they have a very nice view. The chef are amazing, they can charm the most delicious courses on the table. If you like a good food at lunch time Turninn would be it. They are located in Kopavogur, Smaratorg 3 and I would reserve a table if I was planning to come here, there phone number is 575 7500. They only serve brunch or lunch. Price range is ($$$).
